• Assist Accounting Managers in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and reporting packages.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and monthly/quarterly variance explanations.
• Complete monthly revenue and cost of sales analysis. Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with accounting literature that applies to a project-based software company: primarily SOP 81-1 (Contract Accounting) and SOP 97-2 (Software Revenue Recognition).
• Work closely with project managers to ensure they have access to all financial reporting information needed to manage projects, invoicing is completed in accordance with contract terms and that all percentage of completion revenue recognition models properly reflect current project status.
• Provide support as needed during quarterly and annual external and internal audits.
• Prepare weekly/ quarterly utilization reports and monitor actual performance versus plan.
• Review and approve expense reports.
• Complete accounts receivable collect ability analysis.
• Perform special project work such as assisting on implementations of new financial systems (ex. Softrax).
• Identify and present recommended financial and business operation improvements to increase the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the business.
• Ensure an adequate system of internal controls is maintained.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. CPA is preferred.
• Strong managerial accounting and financial analyst skills are required.
• A minimum of three years of accounting experience is required.
• Software and/or professional services industry experience is preferred including an understanding of software revenue recognition rules (SOP 97-2) and contract accounting (SOP 81-1).
