Parking Tickets can comprise a significant portion of revenues. The Tyler Parking Tickets application processes parking tickets and integrates them with General Ledger and Payment Entry (Accounts Receivable). Basic functionality includes late charges, default owner, update G/L switch, and definition of rules for valid violation codes.

Parking Tickets can obtain accurate information and communicate with other agencies through an export request for Owner Names (an ASCII file used by State and Service Bureau agencies to supply owner names and addresses) and through the ability to import the same type of ASCII file to update name and address and create account numbers (if the account number does not already exist). During Ticket entry, the system automatically matches and allows viewing of the motor vehicle record associated with the license plate number.

Special processing functions include:

• Late Fee Processing locates bills that meet / exceed amount due, applies late fees based on user-defined dates. If an appeal is found, it is reversed and late charges are applied as necessary.
• Prints Ticket Notification Letters for Appealed, Past Due, Scofflaw / Marked and / or Certified (Habitual Offender), based on user-defined criteria
• Mail merge information with Microsoft® Office templates you define to create Print Ticket Notification Letters
• Updating Ticket Notifications marks individual records that notifications were sent
• Habitual Offender Processing creates a record for each offender. Can be exported to a handheld ticket device for “Tag & Tow”
• Scofflaw Processing can apply fee to ticket holder for each ticket, with option to export file for flagging auto registrations
• Purge paid tickets by date range
